September 3, 10, 17, 24 - Live at The Depot Concert Series - In conjunction with WFWM 91.9 FM radio, Allegany Arts Council, Frostburg First, Allegany County Tourism and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, we will feature live performances by local roots music bands and musicians at the Historic Old Depot during the layover in Frostburg.
September 25 & 26 - The Locomotive Experience - Beginning at 9:00am, take advantage of a unique opportunity to operate a Diesel Locomotive (GP30) with the guidance of one of our experienced Engineers! The fee is $75.00. Must be age 12 or older. Under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. A $10.00 fee would apply to the accompanying adult. Approx. 15 to 20 minutes. Advanced reservations are recommended due to limited availability.
September 25 - Train Pull 9:00am - Be the winning team of 20 or more pulling the train the furthest.
September 25 - Regular Train Departure - The train will depart at 2:00pm instead of our normal 11:30am because of the train pull.
September 25 - The Hobo Train - Come and join us for a ride on The Hobo Train! Enjoy musical entertainment on the train and by the camp fire during the layover in Frostburg (weather permitting). Hot dogs, marshmallows, Hobo Stew and soft drinks or water will be served during the layover. The train departs Cumberland at 6:00pm and returns around 9:15pm.
