Boarding begins at 6:30 pm; train departs at 7:00 pm. This 3-hour excursion will return to Cumberland at 10:00 pm. Advance reservations are required.
Climb aboard for a steam-powered evening of live music and mountain vistas at sunset.
As the sun sets over the Allegheny Mountains, join us aboard the Sunset on the Mountain for an unforgettable evening of rail travel, live music, great drinks, and mountain scenery.
Boarding begins at 6:30 PM, with departure from Cumberland at 7:00 PM. Relax and enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres, acoustic entertainment, and full-service bar offerings as we journey to Frostburg and return. Beer, wine, cocktails, soft drinks, and more are available for purchase using cash or card.
Looking to make the evening even more memorable? Premium cigars from Queen City Cigars will be available for purchase onboard and may be enjoyed in our Open Air Car while taking in the cool mountain air and spectacular sunset views.
Seating aboard the train is first come, first served within the following available classes:

Tickets for this popular event are expected to sell out, so we encourage booking early for the best seat selection.
To ensure your party is seated together, please arrive with your entire group when boarding begins. Boarding opens 30 minutes prior to departure.

Tickets are fully refundable up to two weeks before your excursion date. Within two weeks of the excursion, in-house credit can be issued, but no refunds or credits will be provided for same-day cancellations or missed trains. If you’re unable to attend on your original date, an in-house credit will be available for use on a future excursion within the same calendar year.
Once you arrive you will receive boarding instructions. We ask that all guests arrive 45 minutes prior to departure.
No outside alcohol is permitted.
No smoking or vaping is permitted.
We only allow service animals onboard our trains.
