Brought to you by the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad & Cultural Events Series. Join us on a train ride to Frostburg State University for “Trailblazing Women of Country: From Patsy to Loretta to Dolly.” A tribute concert for county legends Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton on May 2nd.

With their chart-topping hits and record-breaking sales, they wove threads of contemporary womanhood throughout the tapestry of country music, resulting in unprecedented commercial success and earning each a place in the Country Music Hall of Fame.  

With Trailblazing Women of County, Miko Marks, Country Music Television’s Next Women of Country Class of 2022, and Nashville-based singer Kristina Train are joined by a five-member all-female band to celebrate how Cline, Lynn and Parton harnessed country music’s rich storytelling tradition to offer a uniquely empowered – and unmistakably female – perspective on themes faced by women of their day. 

Your train will leave behind the Mountain Maryland City of Cumberland, your destination, Frostburg. Nestled in this mountain town is Frostburg State University. Our shuttle service will take you to the Pealer Performing Arts Center on campus and return.

On board, enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres prepared by our onboard services team, and signature beverages prepared by our service staff at one of 3 bars.

The train will depart Cumberland at 5:30 PM, and the concert will begin at 7:30 PM. All train seating classes are available and tickets will be issued for assigned seating for the performance. After the performance, passengers will be shuttled to the Frostburg Depot for our return trip to Cumberland.
